About the Journal
About (Journal of Biomaterial and Bio-products Technology)
The Journal of Biomaterial and Bio-products Technology (JBBT) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in the fields of biomaterials, bio-products, and bioprocessing technologies. The journal publishes quarterly (four issues per year) and provides a platform for original research, reviews, case studies, and technical innovations that explore the development, application, and commercialization of natural and synthetic biomaterials and biologically derived products.
JBBT welcomes contributions that address, but are not limited to, the following themes:
- Biomaterials Development and Characterization: Synthesis, functionalization, and evaluation of natural, synthetic, and hybrid biomaterials for medical, agricultural, environmental, and industrial applications.
- Bio-products and Bioprocessing: Production, optimization, and scaling of biofuels, bio-plastics, enzymes, pharmaceuticals, and other value-added biological products.
- Green and Sustainable Technologies: Eco-friendly biomaterial production, waste valorization, circular bio-economy approaches, and sustainable processing techniques.
- Biomedical and Industrial Applications: Tissue engineering, drug delivery systems, biosensors, packaging materials, and other applications bridging biotechnology and material science.
- Analytical Methods and Quality Assessment: Advanced techniques for structural, chemical, and functional evaluation of biomaterials and bio-products.
- Policy, Education, and Innovation: Integration of biomaterial and bio-product research with industry, policy frameworks, and capacity-building for sustainable development.
To maintain focus, JBBT does not consider manuscripts that are purely descriptive (e.g., material inventories, unverified procedural reports) or highly specialized experimental studies without clear relevance to applied biomaterials, bio-products, or sustainable biotechnological applications.
