CORRECTION / CORRIGENDUM POLICY

Verdant Legacy Publishers are committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. If an error is discovered in a published article that affects its interpretation, understanding, or scholarly reliability, a Correction (Corrigendum or Erratum) will be issued as soon as possible.

  1. Types of Corrections
  1. Erratum: Issued when the error was introduced by the publisher during production or editing (e.g., formatting, author names, affiliations, or figure errors).
  2. Corrigendum: Issued when the error was made by the author(s) and does not alter the overall conclusions of the paper.
  3. Addendum: Issued when additional information or clarification is necessary to enhance the understanding of the published work, without invalidating its results.
  1. Process for Issuing a Correction

The author or reader must notify the editorial office in writing, providing details of the error and the suggested correction. Then the editorial team, in consultation with the editor-in-chief, will evaluate the significance of the error. If correction is justified, a formal Correction Notice will be published in the next available issue of the journal and linked to the original article online. The correction will clearly state the changes made and indicate whether the error originated from the author or the publisher.

  1. Principles

Corrections will be made only when errors do not invalidate the main conclusions of the paper. If the error fundamentally undermines the validity of the work, a Retraction or Expression of Concern may be issued instead (as per the Retraction Policy). The original version of the article will remain accessible online, with a clear link to the correction notice for transparency.

  1. Transparency

All corrections are open-access and citable, bearing their own DOI (Digital Object Identifier) where applicable. The date of correction and the nature of the amendment will be clearly mentioned.
