Purpose

This Copyright and Licensing Policy outlines the ownership, licensing, distribution, and reuse rights associated with articles published by Verdant Legacy Publications. The policy aims to protect authors’ intellectual property rights while ensuring the widest possible dissemination and accessibility of scholarly research.

Copyright Ownership

Authors publishing in journals of Verdant Legacy Publications retain full copyright ownership of their work.

Authors grant Verdant Legacy Publications a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, archive, preserve, and promote the published article as part of the scholarly record.

Copyright remains with the author(s) following publication.

Publishing Rights

Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors grant Verdant Legacy Publications the right to:

  • Publish the article in print and electronic formats.
  • Identify itself as the original publisher.
  • Archive and preserve the published work.
  • Distribute and promote the article through indexing services, repositories, databases, and academic platforms.
  • Maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

This publishing right does not transfer copyright ownership from the author(s).

All articles published by Verdant Legacy Publications are distributed under the:

Under this license, users are permitted to:

Third-Party Materials

If a manuscript contains material owned by third parties, including figures, photographs, tables, or illustrations, authors must obtain written permission from the copyright holder before publication.

Evidence of permission may be requested by the editorial office.

Publishing Agreement

Before publication, authors may be required to complete and sign a publishing agreement confirming:
